Our founder, Ruben De Sousa, grew up in a family deeply connected to football. Born in Venezuela to immigrant parents from Spain and Portugal, football was always a part of life. His grandfather was a passionate supporter of Racing Santander, instilling a lifelong love for the game and an appreciation for football's ability to unite communities and create opportunities.
Like many young players around the world, Ruben understood that talent alone is not enough. Success requires guidance, mentorship, education, and access to the right network.
After building a successful career as a Mechanical Engineer, MBA, Entrepreneur, M&A and football consultant, Ruben decided to create the kind of organization he wished existed for aspiring players-a football agency focused not only on contracts and transfers, but on developing well-rounded individuals prepared for long-term success.
Today, Sousa Football Agents operates internationally across the United States, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America, helping players, coaches, and football professionals navigate their careers with confidence, integrity, and purpose.
